Biografia:

The Blues Brothers è una commedia musicale diretta nel 1980 da John Landis, con John Belushi e Dan Aykroyd. Il film è entrato nella storia del cinema grazie al suo cast di musicisti e cantanti, ad una trama che lo rende quasi uno show musicale a tutti gli effetti, e grazie anche a protagonisti come Belushi ed Aykroyd. I due interpretano i fratelli Jake "Joliet" (Belushi) ed Elwood (Aykroyd) Blues, personaggi inventati dai due comici ai tempi delle loro prime collaborazioni al celebre show televisivo statunitense Saturday Night Live, che diventarono in breve tempo famosi in tutto il mondo, inconfondibili nelle loro tenute nere e negli occhiali da sole Ray-Ban. The Blues Brothers costò circa 30 milioni di dollari ed uscì nelle sale nel 1980, inizialmente stentando al box-office. Gli occhiali utilizzati in entrambi i film sono il modello "Wayfrarer" della Ray Ban, lenti B&L.

Nel 2° non c'è più John Belushi, viene sostituito da John Landis.

Dan Aykroid lo possiamo poi ritrovare nel progetto "band aid"(do they know it's xmas time?); più tardi girera alcuni epsodi con il fratello di John: Jim Belushi nella serie TV: "According to Jim" (La vita secondo Jim)
